Bringing Home Baby

After a few long days in the hospital, we finally made it home yesterday just after lunch. We were so excited to bring Kylee back to her new home. She has been such a trooper through all of this stress!! Here's some momentos of the big day.

Okay, so it swallows her...she'll grow into it!

Our Baby Girl

Tuesday night we headed in to the hospital after my water broke at 9:30. The trip there was a lot more nerve racking than I antcipated it to be. After a long night of laboring I finally decided to take an epidural around 6:00 Wednesday morning. Things got much better from there. Despite another hard day of laboring to 10cm I still had to be taken for a C-Section. Although things did not turn out as planned, we were so blessed with a BEAUTIFUL baby girl! Kylee Nicole Fruge was born on June 3, 2009 at 6:54 pm. She was 7 lbs. 4 oz. and 21 1/2 inches long. She looks just like her daddy and we could not be more thrilled to have such an amazing child. So far she is very good with sleeping and she is very observant of the world around her. We can't wait for everyone to see her in person! Here's some pics of Wednesday's events.

3 Year Anniversary

Yesterday was our 3 year anniversary. It was a very laid back evening for us, which was nice! I planned a special supper all day while Kyle was working and he wasn't allowed in the kitchen while I was cooking it that evening. The menu: baked Talapia on a bed of rice covered in a crawfish cream sauce with a side of asparagus. And for dessert... chocolate yummy!! It was a very enjoyable meal and a very enjoyable anniversary. Normally I like to go eat somewhere or do something but, considering my extreme fatigue at this point, it was nice to take it easy this year. Here's a few pics of the meal I'm so proud of!!!

Our Buddy

This past weekend Buddy seemed to be more himself. I guess with all the medicine he's on for his heartworm treatment he's been a little under the weather. For whatever reason he was good ole Buddy again this weekend and he managed to keep us very entertained. Here's some pics.

Kyle just finished playing with him before bed and when Kyle got off of the floor this is how Buddy stayed.

In the pitch dark of the living room...the light is from my camera.

He didn't budge even when we walked by and went to bed!

Saturday we were cleaning the hosue and Kyle was teasing Buddy so he put him on top of this box while we were doing the floors. Well Buddy unexpectedly stayed there! He made himself very comfortable!
These are my "baby" updates for everyone since I don't have an actual baby to report on yet! We will keep everyone informed with our progress!

Dr. Guillory

Okay, so I'm a little late but here it is! Last weekend we had the pleasure of attending Shane's graduation. He is now officially Dr. Shane Guillory!! We are so proud of him and so glad that we got to share this time with him. Congratulations Shane!!

Walking back to his seat after receiving his diploma.

Baby Update

Well, we had another Dr's appointment today. I was hoping for some exciting news but it looks like more depressing news! Talking about my weight gain, that is! Otherwise everything is going great. Next appointment he will start checking my cervix so hopefully we can have another addition to the family soon! We can't wait for the time to come! See all of you this weekend.

Guillory Family Reunion

Okay, I know it's been almost a week and everyone else have already made their posts, but I'm just now getting to posting about the reunion. We had a really good time in ole Mamou! Well, here's my contribution to the pictures.

Finishing Bathroom Touches

Yesterday afternoon we decided we had nothing better to do than to repaint our guest bathroom. Oh what fun! We went several shades darker and Kyle actually painted a picture to tie my rubber duckies in! He did such a great job! Here's some pics of him at work. By the way, I did contribute to painting the bathroom, he didn't have to do it all himself!

The beginning of a long journey...

Upclose picture...isn't he great?!

Ultrasound Pics

Friday was our doctor's appointment and it was ultrasound day. My doctor just got a new ultrasound machine with 3D on it so he played around and we got to see the baby's face in 3D. I can already tell it's precious! The picture did not turn out too good because I am so far along, but we did get a better view at the office. If you can't make it out.. the baby is facing you with it's head on the left hand side leaning against the placenta which is on the right hand side. We can't wait to see it in person!
